ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE

IN MY FATHER’S HOUSE was established by an Italian Comboni Missionary, Rev. Fr. Joseph Rabbiosi who was posted to the Abor Roman Catholic Parish in March 1975 in the Volta Region of Ghana.

On his pastoral tours he noted that most of the children were malnourished and sick. The

natural love he has for children compelled him to investigate these issues with the parents or guardians in collaboration with the local leaders and catechists. He therefore undertook to take care of them.

He later decided to bring the children to the mission house. Orphans and children who were left in the care of their ageing grand parents were also brought to the mission house. Fr. Rabbiosi decided to transform his small home to neglected children into a Non-Governmental Organization to solicit for funds for their proper upkeep and also to ensure continuity and sustainability of this humanitarian project.
